Hey guys, it’s Dr. Josh, your chiropractor for low back pain in Cape Girardeau, MO here. And today I’m gonna be covering the Y-strap.
So we get a lot of people that come in who have to sit all day, who end up getting a lot of tension and pressure built up right back here in the shoulders, that eventually can work its way up into what causes headache.
And this adjustment helps reverse and open up a lot of different damages that are done from just the gravity of bad posture. And even from that, we get a lot of people who can start to develop those, the hump in the back, and this helps open that up well.
Also the wide strap helps with breaking up scar tissue. So people with old injuries or scoliosis, who are just locked down in different areas, it helps build range of motion in that.
And we also get a lot of questions about surgeries. Can I get adjusted while I have fusions?
This is probably the safest way to get adjusted while having any type of cervical or low back fusions.
So now I’m gonna demonstrate what the actual adjustment looks like for you guys.
So this adjustment is super quick and super simple. So all she has to do, all the patient has to do is lay on her back.
And I’m gonna put this strap behind her head. And what it does is it connects to, or attaches and snags on to the occiput, so the base of the skull for support.
So it’s literally going to adjust her from top to bottom. And so all she has to do is lay there.
And what I’m gonna do is I’m gonna do some warm up pulls and then at the end I give it a good little thrust.
And this adjustment is certainly not for everyone, but it’s an excellent adjustment for anyone who can get it done.
